Very interesting episode. Was listening to it on my commute and heard you mention Harry Potter. The next thing you know I heard some music that sounded like Harry Potter meets the Godfather. I couldn't place the music until you identified it, but at first it sounded like an accordion to me. Maybe I'm just losing it. As Mel Brooks said, " It's good to be the king"
We were amused.
I had forgotten all about Mogulus until you mentioned it. I'm going to have to post something soon

Mafuchan: Thanks for the encouraging comments. The kids were playing melodians and various percussion instruments in addition to daughter #1 on keyboard. At the very end of the song, there were two kids playing this weird keyboard hooked up to an air-compressor and fan - the whole apparatus was worn on a shoulder-harness like a marching band drum-kit. It provided a haunting sound.
As for History of the World, I cut a few minutes out of the park segment were I went on a Mel Brooks and Harvey Korman tangent which concluded with Harvey's great line, "Sire! You look like the piss boy."

Totally can relate. My wife is always telling me to stop comparing the cost of products between here and our native land. "You can't compare" she tells me every weekend as I flip through the Yodobashi, PC Depot, and Yamada Denki ads. It is tough not to. Every time I want to buy a new gadget I am hit upside the head with the cost difference! At the end of the day I shouldn't care, I am paid in yen and I spend in yen...put on the blinders and just buy it! You're such a good role model for us all. Ha ha!

Hi S!
Are we going to hear students contribution to Tokyo Calling feed?
Hardware-wise speaking... It seems Apple is about to release new line of iMacs quite soon! (My current object of desire). I hope you have made your recent purchase with full knowledge of this release approaching?
Keep the podcast kingdom blooming :)
Have a nice February.

Scott,
Your children and their classmates are talented for their age. It was nice to hear the musical interludes. I always enjoy the point card systems they have in Japan. Sure helps you save some Yen.
