TC 126 - Executive Sweets, Part 1

(click the magic button to hear or download the 28 minute episode)

This episode is part 1 of a multi-part series featuring stories from some of the big shots I've been teaching recently.

The short bit of audio that appears between the last two segments features some cut-up excerpts from a video on creating compelling elevator speeches with The Chief Storyteller from SellingPower.com. It was assembled with GarageBand.

Part two should be coming later this week.

Thanks for listening.

Hi Scott.

Maybe this one was the perfect episode.
We got a great commutecast, and the master of storytelling leaves us with a cliffhanger!
Whats not to love about that?

BTW, I think the Edirol makes a much better recording. Thinking of getting one (or something similar) myself.

Great podcast, and keep up the great work.

Mark.

Scott,

I would agree with Mark A, the Edirol has much better sound.

Personally, I like the background sounds too. Anyone who has lived in Tokyo recognizes the different sounds like the ambulance sound, the train sound, etc. It makes the Podcast feel more like Tokyo.

This was a really great episode, Scott but I must agree with both Mark and the Warrior in that the sound quality is a worse than with the Ediorl. But I really love the idea of a cliffhanger in podcast form. I like it, I like it very much.

Mark, Warrior, Andy: Thank you all for the feedback. Looks likes the Edirol is the better sounding recorder. I appreciate hearing your thoughts.

As for the cliff-hanger concept, the only problem is I need to get back and record another episode - PRONTO!

It should be out shortly.

Hi Scott,

I'm a recent listener of TC (heard the last ten episodes or so) and I love it! Found it by surprise and I'm glad I did.

I also really love the commutecast. I've never been to Japan and the background sounds make my imagination go wild. I also like the talking of the people passing by, makes me wonder how that person looks like.

So, I'm looking forward to your next podcast and have fun with your corporate teaching classes!

Thibault: Many thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. It's always fun to learn that people are discovering the podcast anew. I often wonder about the path that leads new listeners here.

Hi Scott:

Superb episode again, with those rich sound textures interwoven. Cliffhanger idea rocks. Can we hear one or two of the Big Shots in the future? Greetings from sunny Hungary!

I have to chime in with more love for the commutecast, the background sounds really transport me away. I remember one of the podcasts that got me to subscribe to Tokyo Calling in the first place was an early soundscape-cast long long ago.

Joe and greenlight, Very nice to hear from both of you. I'm delighted that so many folks get enjoyment from the Commute-Casts. As I'm mentioned before, they are a lot of fun to make.
