TC 117 Solid Golden Week

It looks like Japan's First Podcast will be coming through TalkShoe for the foreseeable future. Free hosting that actually returns a small sum compared to paid hosting leaves no choice. This is especially the case considering some decisions I've made about future directions for this podcast. All the details are laid out in a semi-coherent form in the later half of the episode.
In the first half is the Kodomonohi fukubiki story I promised on twitter earlier today. Spoiler: the image for this blog post is the one mentioned in the story.
For those interested in participating in the live post-show chat on TalkShoe next week, please note the new time that has been scheduled (Wednesday morning in Japan and Tuesday evening in USA).

Scott: I always get confused when you talk about lack of space and bandwidth. Is your bandwidth limit really so low?
You could upload all your old shows to Archive.org If space is really an issue for you and you don't want to use Archive.org, I could host every episode for you as I have plenty of space and several gigabytes of bandwidth. I just have the cheapest hosting account from Dreamhost.
Have you considered doing a show that is physically co-hosted? I think it would work much better than playing around with VoIP etc. Just get 3 or 4 people to meet up one a week, each with a Plantronics headset or whatever.

Actually, let me amend that statement. Next week the boy and I will be off on a field trip / nature camp visit, so we won't be available. The week after, though, should be doable.

Great episode, Scott, and congrats on the bike! I can't believe you didn't wait to see if you won the 24 inch iMac! The chances of winning something you wanted to own must have been good.
As for looking for help with your Tokyo Calling, I would be interested in hearing more of your ideas.
