104 Seconds of Amusement
Matthias from Nippon Express found and posted a link to this amazing video of the Roller Coaster in Tokyo Dome City. I walk past it three or four times a week and have posted a couple of photos of it and the "Big - O" ferris wheel through which it passes on the Flickr. I've always wished I still had such a sense of adventure as to take a ride on The Thunder Dolphin - though daughter #2 keeps trying to get me to taker her on it. Thanks to Matthias and whoever shot the video, I can experience it to this extent. It's all I need, thank you.

Thanks Keltin & Aaron:
It's an amazing sound sensation to be sitting in the courtyard in the shopping mall below as the coaster goes whooshing around full of shrieking thrill-seekers.
Note-to-self: go over there and capture a soundscape of The Thunder Dolphin for the kind listeners.

I can really recommend it -- particularly in the evening when it's getting dark and Tokyo's skyline really begins to shine (it's open till 8pm). Fee is 1000 Yen, which is ~9.30 USD at the time of this writing.
Have fun :-)

Wow. Wow. Wow. I like roller coasters, and I don't even think that I would ride that monster. Speaking about it's size, how can such a large ride exist in Tokyo. Construction must have been very expensive. Also, that's awesome how it goes through the middle of the ferris wheel.
