2007 Nagoya Basho Day 11 Sumo Update
Who knows? It felt so good to record this 11 minute leader-board report that I might just have to dust off the old Sumo-Cast feed one of these days.
Thanks to San Nakji for prodding me to talk about sumo again. It really is an incredible sport. And this particular tournament looks like it will go down to the final match on the final day to determine the champion!
As mentioned on this recording, there is actually a live video feed of the action provided by the Nipon Sumo Kokkai. Check it out if you are near a computer and are awake between 16:00 and 18:00 JST. The video quality isn't great but if you're not in Japan and don't have access to the NHK satellite programming, it's the only game in town.
And finally, don't forget Calling Tokyo Calling Episode 11. We'd love to have you join us over at Talkshoe on Friday July 20 at 9:00 EST / 22:00 JST.

Sumo is truly an amazing sport and this year has been very exciting. I think once people get over the 'fat guy in diapers' thing then they will realise what an special sport this is. Am I gushing too much? I look forward to talking in length about this great sport with you! (ps we are 3 hours ahead of Japan... in October we will be 4!)

Kyaa Kyaa!!! You have me screaming like a schoolgirl with the return of the SUMOCast. Scott I am speechless, I really am. But I do want to ask you to maybe give this one a try again.
These tourneys only happen 6 times a year and they give you an opportunity to be someone else... Howard Cowsell maybe? Maybe not.
Oh and Scott I'll be in the Tokyo region next month. Would it be possible to meet you for a drink? I forget which whiskey you drink but I'd sure like to meet the person behind the mic.
