Tokyo Calling Episode 087
This 32 minute process-this-cast was recorded over the course of six days in three locations. As much as I loathe the phrase Jump The Shark, I wonder if it describes what has happened to this podcast of late...
At least, I'm having fun.

Still still we had a wonderful time peddling through the scenic surroundings of the former 1964 Olympic Village. The nearly 2 km circuit winds around the outer gardens of Meiji Shrine. It is easily accessed from JR's Shinanomachi station.

Calling Tokyo Calling 002
With some reluctance, I post this second installment of Calling Tokyo Calling. Recorded last Friday night, I'm somewhat embarrassed with how frantic I sounded. I was really quite nervous and talked far longer than intended before bringing callers into the conversation. This whole experience truly is a work in progress.
Fortunately Christopher and San came to my rescue and provided lively conversation. Thanks to both of them. Also thanks to the folks in the chat room who waited patiently to enter the discussion. Sadly, the TalkShoe session ended when I stopped recording at the 30 minute mark. Sorry guys.
Next week, I promise to limit the monolog section to under 10 minutes. The most exciting aspect of TalkShoe for me is getting to bring you into the conversation. The next episode is scheduled for Friday, June 1st at 9:15 EDT. Christopher has graciously offered to be a featured guest.
He will share his recent experiences with cell phones in Japan. I know I have some questions for him. Hopefully some of you do as will and will be able to join us. Talk to you then.

Calling Tokyo Calling 001
I've been exploring TalkShoe for the past week or so and have been delighted to find and participate in a number of live shows. It is a lot of fun. So much fun in fact that I decided to try making a live interactive version of Tokyo Calling last night.
Unfortunately, I fell asleep early and failed to wake-up at originally scheduled time for the trial run. That's why this 15 minute episode was recorded at 4:00 in the morning. Tired and nervous, I don't think I come across as the most competent of hosts here. But there is room for improvement.
Fortunately, a half-dozen or so folks who noticed my twitter tweet about the show stopped by an visited through the TalkShoe client program. We had a lively discussion after I stopped the recording. Thanks to Jim, Keltin, Karl, Ralph and Lynn for helping to make it an enjoyable experience.
The next episode is scheduled for next Friday, March 25th at 9:15 a.m. edt. I hope to talk to some of you there.

Tokyo Calling Episode 084
This 45 minute walking-in-the-rain-cast was recorded on the way to and back home from Teachers College - Tokyo in Suidobashi. Included is a bit of talk about what I've been up to and what's been on my mind (par for the course).
The episode ends with some musings about what other sorts of directions might be explored in the future.
